Entertaining at ‘Wesham’s Young at Heart’ Party 22nd January 2019

Well done to the children in Year 4 and 5, who gave up their time on a very cold and snowy evening this week to entertain our elderly community with songs and scenes from Robin Hood.  It was a pleasure to see you performing on stage and making everyone in the room, laugh, clap and sing along.

Our Remembrance Day Soldier:

As part of the 100 Year anniversary of the end of the 1st World War we created a Remembrance Soldier out of poppies made by all the children in the school. Everyone felt part of the commemorations in our school community by adding their own poppy and some art work was also added.

Living out the Gospel Values of ‘Respect’ and ‘Generosity’

Year 5 have spent time finding out about the Royal British Legion and wanted to raise money for the Poppy Appeal because they believe it is important to support this charity by being generous and show respect to the soldiers past and present.

Year 5 visit the Buddhist Centre Preston

Year 5 enjoyed a visit to the Buddhist Centre in Preston during multi faith week.

We had the chance to ask lots of questions about the faith we have been studying all week and we looked around the Shrine Room before we had the opportunity of being led in a meditating session.  It really helped…

Our British Values Day

The whole school celebrated the Queen’s 90th birthday during our British Values Day.  We dressed in red, white and blue, like our Union flag and had a special street party for the Queen with a traditional British fish and chips lunch! All the children joined in a special sing song of ‘Happy…

Head Boy and Head Girl Meet our ‘Stand in Queen’
