Word Week

As part of Word Week Year 3 spent the afternoon playing games involving spelling and reading words.  Games such as Scrabble and Boggle were a hit with Year 3. Who knew learning was such fun.

Spelling Bee Competition

As part of Words Week Year 3 took part in a Spelling Bee competition. The children had to spell common exception words correctly and all children that took part scored maximum marks. Well done.

Movement of the Earth's Crust

We have been learning about the movement of the earth’s crust using crackers for our plate tectonics and cream cheese as the mantle.  The children now know lots of new vocabulary and where about in the world earthquakes happen.

Stonehenge

The children have excelled themselves with their homework project of making Stonehenge.  We have had Stonehenge made from cake, cheese, lego, Clay, polystyrene.  You name it, we have it.  Well done Year 3!

Cricket Training

On Thursday afternoon, Year 4 took part in some super cricket training. We learned the best way to bat and how to aim our batting. We aimed our throws at the wickets. We even played some fun throwing games to practice our aim and balance. Here are some photos from the afternoon.

Year 4’s Performance of ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’
