Our School

Welcome to our school Website!

Our school is a one form entry Church of England Primary School, set in the heart of Wesham village.  The school was founded in 1880 and the Christian principles on which it was founded are still important today.  We enjoy close links with the parish of Christ Church, Wesham.  We have recently been graded as an Outstanding Church school by The National Society (June 2015).

We are a very happy school, where children enjoy learning and playing together.  We recognise that every child is unique and all staff work hard to ensure that each child reaches their full potential in all aspects of school life.  We are dedicated to ensuring that all children leave our school with key basic skills to equip them for further learning - in particular good reading, writing and mathematical skills.  The children are taught in year groups with children their own age, but learning is personalised so that it meets the needs of each individual child.

We enjoy a range of extra music activities and many children are learning to play recorders (year 3), cornets (Year 4) and Saxaphone (Year 5) or are a member of our school choir.  We also participate in many interschool sporting events. Children are always encouraged to share their talents especially the activities they do at home eg, Beavers, Taekwondo, Ballet and many many more.

This website should give you a sense of what our school has to offer, but more importantly you would be very welcome to come and look round.  Please ring (01772 682836) for an appointment and I would be very proud to show you our school in action.
