Year 5 visit the Hindu Temple in Preston

Year 5 enjoyed visiting the Hindu Temple in Preston during our Multi Faith Week and we discovered some similarities and differences between Christianity.  We were made to feel very welcome and all enjoyed the warmth of the temple and the people there.

Year 5 Explore Hinduism

During this week Year 5 have been looking at some Hindu statues which might be in the home of a Hindu or in a shrine in a temple.  We have been experiencing Hindu worship and finding out it involves all the 5 senses including sometimes a ‘Tikka ‘mark on your forehead.

Diwali Light Making

During our school's Multi-Faith week, the children took part in an afternoon of craft activities.

Individual classes were split to form seven mixed aged groups that were then allocated different activities.
