Nature Walk

Year 1 went on a nature walk at Ribby Hall where we were looking for different plants. We found deciduous and evergreen trees, bluebells, owl carvings in the tree and fruit and vegetables. We enjoyed walking round the trail and seeing what other things we could find on our way.

Handball Competition

Year 5 Harvest Worship

Life Education Bus

This week we had a visit from the life education bus.  We learnt about different organs in our body including our brain, lungs, stomach, liver and intestines.  We learnt that smoking is harmful and that drinking too much alcohol can cause our behaviour to change and slow down our reactions.

Year 4 Attendance Reward Trip - Ascent Trampoline Park Blackpool

As a reward for wining the highest attendance award, Year 4 went on a trip to the Ascent Trampoline Park in Blackpool.  We had the most amazing time bouncing, somersaulting, doing slam dunks, jumping into the air bags and foam pits and being 'gladiators' on the foam pit beam.  We hope we win again…

Carr Hill Dance Show

Year 1 had a visit from Florence Nightingale, she told them all about her life as nurse. The children loved learning and writing about what she did in the Crimean War to help all the soldiers. They discussed what she was wearing, what her job was and why she is still well known today.

Year 3 Class Planter

We enjoyed preparing our class planter ready for Spring.

First we cleared away the old plants and weeds and then added fresh compost.

Next, we arranged our new plants in the box and then bedded them in.
